The BusyBee Journey
BusyBee Honey began as a family passion project in the heart of South Africa’s Western Cape. What started with a single beehive in our backyard has grown into a thriving business dedicated to producing the finest quality honey while protecting and nurturing bee communities.
Our founder, Sarah Mitchell, discovered her love for beekeeping during a difficult period when she was seeking a deeper connection with nature. The therapeutic rhythm of working with bees and the pure satisfaction of harvesting liquid gold became more than a hobby – it became a calling.
Today, BusyBee Honey operates across multiple apiaries throughout South Africa, from the fynbos regions of the Western Cape to the wildflower meadows of KwaZulu-Natal. Every jar of honey tells the story of our commitment to sustainable beekeeping, environmental stewardship, and community support.
